Lovely sunny Sunday in Liverpool and the Bungay Kid celebrates his birthday with a giant plate of pies. Managed to nip out in the afternoon and visit the Tate Liverpool and nice to see the Coral again in the bar after the gig.

When it comes to worshiping God in Liverpool people really are spoilt for choice Metropolitan Cathedral. Architect Sir Frederick Gibberd's design was chosen after a competition involving over 300 entrants, and building began in October 1962. Fred got his idea when he saw a flying saucer over the recently constructed M1 Liverpool's giant Anglican Cathedral. The foundation stone was laid on Tuesday 19th July 1904 by King Edward VII with a thousand voice choir singing hallelujah. Tune!
