BILBAO - BBK Live Festival
FRIDAY 10th July 2009

04

Thursday night of our European tour and the Monkey Basket Camera battery is dead, forced to switch to MB phone cam for that low budget grainy effect. Tapas and then large quantities of San Miguel with the Kaiser Chiefs whilst wandering the streets of Bilbao, finishing with Caipirinhas from a disgruntled Brazilian barmaid. Rising early and fairly dazed, I limp to the Guggenheim (The Matter of Time, Phantom Release  highlights), small birds tweeting around me in the morning sunshine. On early evening at the very scenic BBK festival in the hills above Bilbao, interesting to watch Babyshambles and see the Kaisers giving it loads but have to chip off for Toulouse before the Bunnymen & DM.

Quiet flight from terminal 3, no anomalies to report.

At the Tapas bar, squids in ink Big plate of Chorizo, lovely soft focus effect achieved with greasy phone cam Very tempted to get one of these beauty legs of Jamón ibérico, but I couldn't eat a whole one.
