LONDON - The Astoria 22nd/23rd April 2008

St. George's day... Last ever Supergrass gigs at the Astoria before they pull it down... Pete Wareham performs amazing sax.... Oxygen and Sherpas required to scale the stairs to the dressing room. Two nights of BLSOS (Big London sold out shows) to round off the UK leg of the Hoo Ha tour and what a great tour it's been. The back and foot have bared up admirably and I'll live to fight another day.... see you soon.

King of drinks and champion of the tour, White Russian's lose out to this mammoth beverage.

Pete Wareham sucks a reed in the dressing room in preparation for "Whiskey and Green Tea" I've come over all Warholesque Pete's notes, what do they mean?

Taken with a pin hole camera from a moving taxi cab, remember when this was the Post Office Tower?

More 'Monkey Basket goes arty' shots of London as the sun sets, the sky bruises and we shall be forced to camp. ? Soon this will all be a pile of rubble. The Jackel orders another 'hit' in the foreground
Danny sports another outrageous Sabastian stage creation. Does this relate to the London Bombings or to rules of conduct found at most swimming baths along with "No Heavy Petting" A little light reading before taking the stage Rarrrr.... I'm a Tiger
Gaz acts nonchalent as he stars in an 80's teen vampire flick Classic bog graffiti 'Mary' The music and light show transport the Monkey Basket into a parallel universe
