Reykjavík, capital of beautiful Iceland, is this months venue for the continuing sporadic Road to Rouen Tour. The Trópík festival next to the university is our venue but like flies in some weird laboratory experiment the unrelenting daylight leads the band and crew to behave in strange and erratic ways. The ridiculously indulgent trip to the Blue Lagoon sorts us all out on the way home.

It's Skúli Magnússon.   A happy couple languish in the sun   Looking down Skólavörðustígur towards Reykjavík harbor   Hallgrímskirkja rises behind Leifur Eiríksson, discoverer of Vínland (America to you)

Father Christmas has been placed in the stocks for some unknown reason   The Bungay kid takes a picture of this statue depicting a Dragon slaying   Mike produces this magnificent dockers omelet on the first morning   The marble staircase in the hotel

Kerið Crater   Man on soap box, possibly a distant ancestor of our stand-in TM   See geysir Strokkur in action   "Thar she blows" - Sea dog Rogers

Good to see that graffiti artists don't waste time thinking up clever slogans but just comment on the general state of things

A blue lagoon troll   Is that the Langjökull glacier on the horizon?   The Svartsengi power plant sits ominously on the lava

Quite Naked Lunch, the 'Sun Voyager' - Jón Gunnar Árnarson - 1971   Gaz enjoys his stay in Reykjavík   The Walers lurk in the harbor and I don't mean Bob Marley's   Lonely light house

No. 14 on the menu   #10 Reykjavík Golden Retriever   Ólafur Thors stands over Tjörnin   Don't stick your hand in any puddles

The original Geysir   Lunar like lava   Nice ship in the sun   I'm sure I parked it round here somewhere

Creepy rocks in þingvellir   Is that a concord hatching   Staring into the depths of the earth at Geysir   Tee Hee
