Lightening
tour of one date in Atibaia, Brazil at the Campari Rock
Festival. Wild crazy scenes brough on by too many
Caipirinhas lead an over excited Danny to sprain his ankle
during a particularly physical impression of Ronaldinho. The
gig hangs in the balance as Danny takes to his bed with
pain killers or limps around the swimming pool. Meanwhile everybody else enjoys the delights
of rural Brazil at a more leisurely pace, taking in the
flora and fauna and going for a spot of horse riding. Good
sounds from openers, Cachorro Grande as the sun goes down. The show
goes on at half past midnight, with a recuperated Danny, a
waterlogged and useless Nordlead and a
very raucous crowd, some of whom have waited ten years to see us.
It's over all too soon as we retire and then wake up for a ten hour flight home. I for one would have been
up for staying a bit longer but hopefully we'll be back
before 2016!
